The Candle Left Burning
Each Sunday in the Sanctuary a candle is left lighted in front of the altar. This candle was first lighted at the ecumenical Seasons of Peacemaking Service held on May 27, 2005. It stands in memory of our own Sherwood Baker and all other casualties of the war in Iraq. Coalition forces and Iraqis alike. As we leave worship it reminds us to keep a vigil of prayer and action against the war. The candle will burn until the war is ended.
