Book Discussion
Group Meeting every four to six weeks at a member's home, this group discusses works of fiction chosen by the group. We usually read contemporary fiction by writers from around the world. Contact Ruth Thornton or Barbara Mitchell.
Chancel Choir
A fun, dynamic, mixed voice ensemble provides music for regular worship services from September through June and presents special choral programs several times each year. Membership is open to all. Youth and Choirs

Higher Ground Choir
Higher Ground worship services will be held four times this year. The worship features an electric band and an energetic choir doing contemporary songs from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Prince, Aretha Franklin, the Beatles, Jill Scot and much more. Stewards of the Mysteries of God
People gather for conversation in a space that is congenial to many alternative expressions of faith. Group members have explored vo-cational changes, the sacraments, and direct and indirect experiences of God’s presence. Meetings are usually the first Saturday of the month from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the chapel. Contact Carol Clyde.
Feminist Spirituality
Persons interested in exploring faith and life from a feminist perspective can call for reference information or to request formation of a study group. Contact Mariana Eckardt.
Piece Work
The Piece Work is an informal group for those interested in creating charity crafts or individual projects. Teach or learn new skills. All skill levels welcome. Center City Lunch Group
The Center City Lunch Group invites FUMCOGers who work or live in Center City to gather periodically over a brown bag lunch and a discussion of a mutually agreed upon topic. Contact Martha Johnston.
United Methodist Women
The United Methodist Women builds community among the women of FUMCOG and support social outreach to the local church, the community, and the larger national and international community. The Drama Group
An independent theatre company, The Drama Group was founded by FUMCOG members in 1980 and has since grown to become a well-regarded non-professional theatre company. First-time actors are encouraged to audition and help is always needed with props, sets, lighting, and in other areas. Family Life

Linger Lunch
Linger Lunch is a simple meal after worship for fellowship and conversation. Members and friends work in pairs or teams to cook lunch together. Directions are sent to you in advance and you’ll be reimbursed for your expenses. Support is readily available. Contact Cara Herold.
Library
The Library committee provides FUMCOG members and friends with a lending library of current books that enhance and encourage a spiritual journey. The library is readily accessible to all; it is located in a kiosk in Pilling Hall. Contact Pat Squire.
Archives
The Archives group collects, organizes, and catalogs the materials of the church. We make the historical documents, photos and artifacts available for the church and the public. Contact Jean Walker.
